Last group of pictures

Our little man is growing fast!

The advantage of having memory manager from Creative Memories was that I could pull up our pictures and tweek them to my liking. If I wanted a picture black and white or if it was a little fuzzy I could do some touchups.

Sears did a really good job with our pictures. We were glad we got them done.

Memorial Day

Joel and I decided at the last minute that we needed to get some professional pictures done while it was a good time, so that's what we did for memorial day. Evan took some really good pictures but it took a little finagling at first. The flash was a little too much for him at first. He didnt want to wake up from his cozy little nap so right before the picture was taken we would give him his binky get him all happy and snatch it out right before they took the shot. FUN! These pictures of him in his casual blue outfit were done towards the end. He looks so good in blue!

Throughout the week I will post more of the pictures that we did. I hope you enjoy!

Evan seemed to like the swing but there's nothing like being held.
This little boppy pillow has become Evans favorite. He enjoys sitting in it and is more content there than anywhere else. Of course he also looks very cute in it too!

I have a hard time getting good feet pictures. I love the feet pictures that I've seen but I have no clue how Photographers do it. This was as close as we could get.

Evan and I were making cookies but no he did not get to taste any of course there were raw eggs in it :) Actually I had started making cookies, he woke up and well you know how it goes. So we baked together. He didnt want to miss out.

2 weeks old

He has a bottle! We decided to try Evan out and see how he did with taking a bottle. Yes, there was no problem there- he took to it like a pro and guzzled it down like we hadnt fed him in a while. I think he really enjoyed being able to drink straight from a bottle. It sure beats having it go straight to your tummy withought tasting it first. For those of you wondering no we're not taking the feeding tube out. We will occassionally feed him with a bottle but want to be careful when we do. I wish I could put the sounds he made on the blog as he was eating. He really enjoyed it!
Yep his tummy is full and he's a very happy boy! Suprisingly to us after the bottle after 5:00pm he slept solid. We made the mistake the other night of waking him up a little early to feed him before a friend came over and boy was that ugly. He had no desire to go back to sleep so we learned our lesson on that one. So when his next feeding came around he hadnt even budged. We held our breath & Joel changed him, fed him and took him up stairs with out Evan even waking up. Feeding him with a bottle wore him out and filled his tummy in a good way and we think he really enjoyed every minute. Yes, he slept solid from 5:30 to midnight! HAPPY were we, although I was even happier when he woke up. He slept so soundly I really wanted to hear him make some kind of noise just to make sure he was ok. Joel and I got some good sleep last night though.

I'm not sure why this picture came out sideways but you can still see that adorable smile! He was a happy camper last night.

Evan has great facial expressions, especially when you're talking to him or if you just changed his clothes or whiped him off with a cold cloth.

He's also a deep thinker! :)
This is my favorite picture! He looks so angelic here. I'm not sure what was going on with the lighting & I didnt do it on purpose but I love it. Isnt it great when things work out like that?
Today is a great nap day for him! I just hope tonight will also be a good nap time. He's always ready to eat within 2 hours or so. At night by the time we drift off to sleep he's ready for his second round of the evening. We're glad he's an eater though.

Evan went sound asleep as soon as we put him down for his 2nd nap of the day. You know they are pooped when the binky is poking their lips or stuck on their noses. He did the nose thing yesterday which was halarious. It didnt bother him a bit!

Evans first bath at home!

As you can see Evan wasnt too keen on his bath experience. This was last thursday and I have a promising report that he now loves his bath and cries when we take him out.
This little guy loves to be held. Ok he has totally been spoiled and we're now seeing that at bed time when he's ready to be cuddled and Joel and I are ready to crash. How can you not cuddle him though. Look at that face. That's a look of pure joy in my book!

Smiles are coming!

Evan looks pretty cute in his new outfits!
This was his going home outfit from the Hospital. We were almost ready to go and he was quite content to be patient and wait for us.

He did really well in the car seat and fell asleep as soon as the car started.

Today Evan is 1 week old!

He is so alert and watches everything his daddy does.

Is that cutie or what?

Our little Cutie!

The nurses were wonderful and allowed Joel and I and then mom & dad to visit Evan in the baby nursery. Once he was born he had to stay in the nursery so that the nurses could keep a good eye on him. We were able to go in at any time night or day to visit and hold him.

Here's one happy Daddy!

He's already flexing his muscles.
