Baby Girl!

I was very excited about posting our news and forgot to put a picture as well as our funny story. This ultra sound was very extensive more than any one we've done yet and Joel and I enjoyed every minute of it. We even got to see our little girl in 3D sooo neat!!! I would post one of those but it's very hard to tell what you're looking at.

During the ultra sound our little girl seemed to be quite comfy with her legs crossed almost like indian style and snuggled up in a curl. The tech wanted her to move around so she had a noise machine that the babies can hear and will get them to move sometimes. Well when she turned it on Joel and I eagerly looked at the screan only to see Lil sloaner take the biggest yawn ever and she was done with her movement. We laughed - it didnt bother her one bit, she was comfy and that was that!

Nancy's monster trout

Last week while I was baking and cooking for the anniversary party, Joel went to a new spot about 30min. away to do some fishing. He really liked the spot and caught quite a few fish so we took advantage of the great weather and free time and hit the road. Of course we started our trip with a starbucks to get the day going right and it sure did! We found our spot, somewhat climbed down the hill and took turns catching fish. I was up first. My first catch within 3 seconds I had fish on! I pulled hime in a here he is, not bad for the first fish of the day.

Then it was Joel's turn. No this was not his first fish but it was kind of funny that we kept catching these little guys.

After Joel caught his fish we moved on upstream where I was dying to catch a big one. I climbed up on these tall rocks, not really thinking I'd get a big one and there here was I caught him and had to have Joel come over and get him in the net so I wouldn't fall in trying to grab him and climb down all at once. We finally decided that this guy was not a brook trout like we thought but a brown trout. If he was a brook trout i'd totally have bragging rights to him cause he was 13 inches long - BUMMER! I'm still pretty happy with my catch. I think the best part was I had tied my own fly on, sinker and strike indicator. The only thing I couldnt do was get him in the net because I was so high up.
The view was really pretty here and to make it even better was we were pretty much in the shade the entire time. The downside to this area was you had to climb down a steep hill to get to the water. This is where I really missed Colorado fishing. You pull off the road walk over and you're in the river here you have to work for your fun.

By the time this trip was over I looked like I'd had a cat fight. I finally gave up trying to avoid walking in the water with my tennis shoes since I didnt have waiders on but after one big fight with a huge thorn vine which it won I gave up and got in the river. I was getting tired and with an attempt to climb on a rock, I slipped and nailed the two huge rocks and somewhat went in the river. So I have a few bruises to prove my adventure as well.

Joel caught several nice size trout as well and was lovin life!
We pretty much decided he'd quit his job and we'd become trout bums.

He has a hard time giving up the last cast, so here we're at the truck but he had to go down one last time to a small pool and see if anything would bite.
