Precious memories

We had professional pictures done and this is one of them. Hailey loved the photographer and he did such a great job, I dont think there was a picture left behind :)

She is now 5 months old, reaching for items around her, cooing and sining more, laughing a ton and enjoying reading books and playing with toys.

First Easter and some

WOw did Easter go by fast. As soon as we got up it was off to the races. We opted out of going to the sunrise service and breakfast, even though Hailey attempted to wake up before the sun did. I was singing in an ensemble so naturally we had to be there early for warm up practice not to mention be ready to sing with the music team, so Joel and Hailey hung out while I practiced. Once everything got started it was a whirlwind and Hailey had no intentions of staying in the nursery. oh to think as a teacher I used to laugh (kindof) at those parents who just couldnt let go of their kids or viseversa and now we're that family :) what can I say! I am working on that.
Once we finally get home (after 1:00) we have lunch and put Hailey down. The one day that she decides to take over a 2 hour nap is the day we have a lot of plans. Our neighbors invited us over for their Easter egg hunt and dinner. So after 2 1/2 hours of great sleep we get her up and take her over in time for dinner. We all had a great time and Hailey did wonderfully.
















Would you believe these are the only pictures I took of her the entire day. We were so busy I forgot to take time for pictures. So here's Hailey in her Easter dress. She was beautiful!

Spring at last!

I love spring and I love beautiful flowers. These tulips popped up on the side of our house in one of the flower beds and I had honestly forgotten that we even had tulips. What a great way to be surprised!

Hailey of course loved the flowers. She seems to really like it outside which I'm quite thankful for.

Hailey saw what she wanted and went for it. At this point anything that she can get her mouth on she goes for.

The drool was just coming out - she really wanted that flower!

Time is really flying. Hailey is 4months old and growing so quickly. We think she might be in the early teething stages with all the drooling & boy does she like to suck on her fingers or whatever will go in her mouth. She has turned into quite the baby houdini- even with the nice velcro swaddle blankets she is able to get out. I had the monitor on and heard this familiar sucking sound and sure enough her hand was out and she was sucking on her thumb that was caught in her sleeve, so it made quite the loud sound. I came in and she just looked at me with those big blue eyes and gave me the most adorable smile as if to say look what I can do mommy!
