First Fly fishing trip
The weather was so perfect last week so Joel and I took full advantage of the day and the 3 of us headed for the Cascades. Hailey slept for the majority of the time in her little carrier while Joel fished. Then we swapped and Joel and Hailey had some fun while I fished.

Tummy time
Hailey has finally agreed to hold her cries for at least more than a minute when I put her on her tummy. At first she cried immediately. Joel had left on Sunday for a trip and that afternoon I pulled out a new blanket we'd been given, got out the camera and put her on her tummy & started shooting pictures as quickly as possible. Ok I must have totally been in the moment cause I didnt even catch it that I was shooting her rolling over! Yep she rolled over on her back for the first time. I put the camera down and just laughed as she laughed and smiled along with a lot of drool.
I put her back on her tummy so I could get a video and NOTHING! She wouldnt do it. :(

Meet the Atlanta cousins!
Last weekend Joel and I made a trip to Atlanta to see some of the Sloan family. It was a quick weekend but a lot of fun! Here is Anna and Hailey.
Lucy hiding behind bubbles that turned colors!

Hailey getting kissed by a frog

Joel is working the water bike.

Matilda is working the boat in the stream.
Eleanor is enjoying the giant green frog!
They all ended up finding their way to the ball pit. That I must admit seemed to be the most fun of it all.

We all had a great time and Hailey did wonderfully! The ended up driving back after Sunday service and it rained the entire way to the Virginia line and once we hit that is started to snow. We couldnt believe our eyes. Snow go figure! We were just thankful we made it home safely without any problems.

NO MILK!
Have you ever had that thought in the back of your mind like a "what if" but then you forget and a month or two later it pops up again? Well I had that happen regarding Hailey. When we switched over to formula I noticed her skin was getting really dry and she was spitting up a lot as well as spitting up water. I had a split second thought of I wonder if she's possibly allergic to milk or is it something else? I addressed it with our Pediatrician and was told all babies spit up etc. We went on with our usual routine and after spending some time with family for the weekend we came home to find that yet another dry spot popped up on her head. That was it, I was determined to find out what was going on. I was able to get an apoitment the day I called and the Dr. and I came to the conclusion that my "what if" was very possibly. So we put her on a milk free formula and she fell asleep instantly after she was fed. Joel and I just looked at each other and smiled - this is good!
By the next day we could tell a difference. So Hailey is most likley allergic to milk which I was also so catching it this early is good and she hopefully grow out of it like I did.

first words!
Ok dont get too excited just yet - Joel had Hailey on his lap and she was crying and it sounded like she said I want my mommy, we laughed so hard she stopped crying and looked at us.

This day Hailey went to her first birthday party of some friends from our church. She had a great time watching the kids play around. The bib has become a part of her outfit since her drooling/ spitting up is quite constant. One minute she's spitting up what she just ate, the next minute she's drooling up a storm. Her favorite thing is to make bubbles and wait to see how far it will fall.
