Pumpkin Patch

We  finally had a Saturday with nothing planned and beautiful weather. We all took off for a pumpkin patch nearby and had a blast. First was the John Deer Tractor bike. How cool was this. I wanna know where you get these!
Then we hit the boat that had fun things to hang on and climb on.
The most popular was this huge bouncy thing. We had a blast. Once a lot of people got on we had to get off cause poor Hailey couldn't stay on her feet and mommy almost fell too. It was super fun though.
The slide was a big hit with mommy and daddy but Hailey it was a huge no!

We didn't last too long in the pumpkin patch due to all the other fun attractions.
We went on a hay ride and got to see the entire patch.
We even attempted a corn maze but a few minutes into it evidentally it wasn't exciting enough cause in the middle of video taping I noticed Hailey ran the other way and I found myself alone in the maze. Hailey and daddy took the short cut.

Nothing like a little snack break to make things even better.

We had a great time and Hailey got to bring home her very own pumpkin from the patch.

Apple Picking!

Hailey and I went to my parents house while daddy was on a trip and we decided to go apple picking. This would be Hailey's first trip and she did great!
We ventured to a new apple orchard that was at the top of a mountain and we had to walk a ways just to get to some good apples. Thankfully they were Hailey's height and she could actually pull them off.  The challenge was me taking the pictures, keeping Hailey from taking rotten apples, falling in them or falling down the hill. Let's just say I didn't get that many good pictures but we got great apples!
Her first pick of the day she pulled so hard she fell both hands into 2 rotten apples.
Once we got going she really got into it and I could hardly keep up with her.  Her last straw was loosing her balance trying to get an apple and fell into a really rotten apple that just got all over her. uhhh She was done after that. Thankfully I had my carrier and put her on my back which she immediatly said "giddy up mommy!"
At the end of the day Hailey helped mommy and Granddad pick a wagon full of apples, one baby pumpkin and great memories.
We then stopped at a store and asked where a playground was and here's where Hailey found some great friends!  These donkeys were down from the playground and that was all Hailey needed to have some fun. They loved her.
This little baby donkey was the winner. They were best friends!
He even let her give him a hug which I was shocked to see.
We ended our trip at Meemom and Granddad's house blowing bubbles.
We had a great time and Hailey definitly enjoyed learning how to pick apples.

Girl on a mission

Ok so I goofed on this group of pics. They are backwards, so if you start at the bottom that's where our trip to the beach started!
An end to a great day at the Aquarium Hailey and daddy found a little playground right outside.
She got to touch several things and daddy got to touch a shark!
This was the best part. The alligators were huge and 2 of them swam right up to Hailey and it looked like they were smiling. I could practically hear them saying Our little snack just arrived!

Our hotel had a pool and Hailey did amazing. Joel let go of her and she tried to swim.

This was the best part, Hailey actually layed down in the water and splashed around. The last time she did that was in Hawaii. Oh I miss Hawaii. This was fun though :)
The water was perfect and just right for her. Not too rough, you could practically see the bottom.
She got on a seashell hunt and picked them up saying sheshell and threw it back into the water.
Hailey would just flat out run after the birds. This shot Hailey just kept going. I had to catch up to her and turn her around and point out another bird to chase that was in daddy's direction.

She tried everything, Holding out her hands, squatting down and sneeking up on them.
When we first got to the beach (remember this is the start of our trip), Hailey had a blast chasing the birds. There were a lot of birds.

summer fun

Aunt Beth and Uncle Zane had been over for a visit and we had talked about how cool it would be to put a pool at the bottom of the slide. Well that thought turned into an action and here's the smile that appeared.
I lost track of how many times Hailey went down the slide. She loved it. So Fun! Thanks Aunt Beth!!!Go Hokies!!! Hailey loves the Hokie bird and loves daddy's hat.
Ok these pictures are quite a while ago, I'm slacking big time! Hope everyone had a great summer.

Double Rainbow!

We knew we were going to get a pretty bad storm tonight and thankfully Hailey was already out for the night when the worst of it hit. We have had pretty bad lightening and then some major thunder and I looked at the window and was shocked to see how bright it was outside.

Joel went outside to look around and he called me outside. When I went out this is what I saw. It was beautiful. There's nothing more exciting than to come out when it's still raining and thundering and see and rainbow, not to mention a double.

Let's Play!

Hailey has really enjoyed her new playroom but most of all her books. She is quite the bookworm. I can't imagine what she'd do if we didn't have any books. This little seat she's made herself was not for her to sit which makes it kindof cute. She has her moments when she has to sit in a certain spot. She cleared off (literally) the seat and plopped right down.

Her latest is looking at our Bibles. On our way to church one morning all she wanted to hold was Joel's Bible. So I'm cleaning up the kitchen and hear her flipping pages and I look in and see her here in front of the fire place looking at the Bible. Too cute!
Ok so on to more fun but evidentally painting wasn't that exciting cause she's was yawning up a storm. She did pretty well if I could just get her to not wipe her eyes or nose. NEXT! on to stacking blocks. She does really well with this. A little horse riding to change things up.This is really a closet but my goal is to change it into a little dress up room. The time flies when you have a lot to do on your list of unpacking! Hailey is now 20 months old. It's hard to believe how quickly time is flying by. She's throwing out words left and right and does really well understanding what we tell her. She's a big climber, loves the outdoors and is exploying more and more.
