THEY'RE HERE!!!!

Well for those of you who don't know. The boys came early and there was no stopping them.  Last Friday I was pretty sure my water had broken but the Dr.'s sent me home after 5 hours in the hospital and said nope. Sat. morning I started having pretty sharp contractions and cooking breakfast etc. didn't quite cut it. the pain got worse and we realized they were 5-7 min. apart.

We made our way to the hospital where they decided to train a girl while I painfully waited for them to put me in a room and to make it worse wouldn't let Joel come because we had Hailey with us. uhhhh

A little later one of our Pastors and his wife came to watch Hailey until John and Amy could get to us. The Dr.'s realized there was no stopping these guys from coming so they set me up for the Csection and on we went.

The day before Fathers Day they were born

Due to them being born at 33 weeks they were put in the NICU. They are perfectly healthy they just need time to catch up to what they didn't get because they were born so early.  We are praying that they will be able to come home when they hit their 36/37 week mark.

Busy Busy!

Hailey loves nothing more than to get out in the rain with her umbrella and dance around. Boy has she gotten a lot of umbrella time lately!!!  Meemom and Granddad were in town a few weeks ago and she got to show off her umbrella skills!

 I'm finally getting her to pose for me and give me some cute looks. Usually I get out the camera and say smile Hailey and she goes - smile!!!!  but doesn't even look at me go figure.  I love the piggy's in this one and she has such a cute look on her face.

 Daddy and Hailey putting together our twin stroller!  I think Hailey will be just like her daddy, she loves putting things together. She knew where everything went and mommy got to sit and watch:)

 Hailey of course had to test it out. IT WORKS!!!! She's getting very excited about baby brothers. Of course if you were dragged around to every apt. you would expect something big too. Each apt. which we are at either 2 or 3 a week (torture!) she ask the Dr. to see baby brothers. She got spoiled with the ultra sound. One appointment the Dr. for whatever reason wasn't going to do an ultrasound and Hailey kept saying see baby brothers. Who can resist the cute little face that so desperately wants to see her brothers. Needless to say we got the ultrasound. :)

A few more weeks and baby brothers will be here. We'll see if Hailey is truly ready or not :)

catching up?

Ok so not really sure you can call this catching up. I've missed quite a few months but here's the fun stuff. Strawberry season!  Who doesnt like strawberries. Hailey loves them and I cant go to the fields this year cause well lets face it there's no bending over a tummy of 2. So pulling off the road and rolling your window down to buy a bucket works just as well. Hey I we didn't even have to get out of the car. Lazy! I know. But here's the reward of our hard labor:) YUMMMMM

 Hailey has been begging to do 2  things for several months now - go fishing and go to the beach.  Well we can mark one off - Joel came home for my nephews wedding and we all went back to my parents house for the night and Joel took Hailey to the pond to do some serious fishing.

 This little girl was tickled pink with this fish - no Joel caught it so this daddy was a happy camper.

 Hailey did a great job reeling in the line but there's no sitting still for this kiddo. The fish have to come to her. Catch it if you can fishy!

 My little baker!  When mommy is in the kitchen so is she. so I gave Hailey a bowl and utensils and flour and she went to town while I did some cooking for daddy.

 My little princess!  Hailey is finally catching on to dressing up. Nana has these great puffy skirts and as soon as Hailey puts them on she twirls and sings I'm a princess I'm a princess!  That she is.

 This was an Easter picture. whew - soooo long ago. I'm thankful that she enjoys wearing dresses and now she lets me curl her hair which is sooooo much fun. She's trying to work on mommies makeup but that will be a while!

Twin what?

For those of you who dont know what we are having the picture says it all. I think it's going to take some time for Hailey and I to get used to 2 boys in the family. She will always be our little princess so mommy gets to pamper her even more since we're not having another girl right? :)

Hailey has been to all of my apointments which helps, I think. She gets to see all the many ultra sounds and starts to get excited when she sees the babies moving.

Cake in a mug how brilliant!  Ok so I saw this on pinterest and hey if it has nutella in it it has to be good righ?

 It said a coffee mug but I wasnt sure it would hold it and I didn't feel like cleaning up chocolate in the microwave so I put it in these larger mugs. It was a good thing cause they grew.

 It turned out super yummy and took me a totall of 5 -6 minutes.  Only a few minutes to stir it together and then 3 min. in the microwave and TAAADAAA  absolute heaven.  Joel devoured his and Hailey well she inhaled hers, handed her bowl to daddy and said daddy i'm a gonna need more. We laughed. You know it's super good when she needs more. ok so she's totally turned into our dessert girl like mommy but hey i'm ok with that.

Nutella cake in a mug

Yield: 1 large serving

Ingredients
4 tablespoons self-rising flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons Nutella
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

and that's it. Mix in your mug well put it in the microwave for 3-4 minutes possibly longer depending on your microwave. oh and I divided this one recipe in the 2 mugs in the picture.  ENJOY!

too funny!

I couldn't pass up sharing this with everyone.  Hailey is a huge reader well loves to be read to.  I realized today that maybe I've read too much Peter Rabbit when I hear her call out to a little girl she was playing with at Chick fila "Stop Thief" . The little girl had run out to eat her lunch. I nearly fell off my chair laughing it was so funny.
