We're Back!

Korea was so much fun! Hailey has now officially traveled more in her first year than I did in my entire 25. She learned how to walk, say a few words, eat table food, play in the snow, drink out of big girl sippy cups and fly like a champ!
Before leaving Korea we decided to stay the night in Seoul instead of a long bus ride the same day as a 13hour flight. I'm sooo glad we made that decision.
We took a train from Gunsan to Seoul, that was halarious in itself. We first had to take a 30 min. taxi ride. Keep in mind we have 2 suitcases, a backpack, Hailey, a car seat and Joel's backpack. Once we got to the train station we quickly found out it was not luggage friendly. Several flights of stairs and an escelator which got to be humerous with Joel carrying Hailey in her car seat while I stayed with the luggage then once he got to the top , I'd run to the top, hang with Hailey while Joel goes to the bottom and grabs the luggage. This made a great workout. We were pooped once we actually got on the train.
We got to Seoul where we had to catch another taxi and then walk from the base gate to the hotel - so not fun. We had a super nice dinner and then crashed.

The next day we just hung out and then headed for the airport by bus. We finally got our tickets and then had lunch at McDonalds. We sadly made our way to customs where we parted (man was that hard). I was given wrong directions and had trouble finding the tram. Once I finally found the tram we made our way to the gate and to my shock most of the plane had boarded already. uh I was hoping to be one of the first on the plane so now I'm standing at the door trying to get some help with the car seat but they spoke little English. Thank goodness for an American pilot who quickly got someone to grab the carseat for me and move everyone through so we could get our seat.
WOw was that plane packed. Hailey was ready to fly and have fun like she had the other times but when Korean's fly they dont talk they mostly sleep or just sit quietly. Thankfully Hailey finally fell asleep and I unfortunatly stayed awake the majority of the flight. Once we landed we had to get on a tiny plane for 1 1/2 hours.
Words cannot tell how happy we were to get on land! That was such a LONG flight.

Cell phones are such a big thing. I think she just got a text! It's taken about 2 weeks (maybe more) to get over this jet lag. Man is it a killer. Once we got home you could see it on her face how happy she was to be in her own home. Such a good good feeling. She has looked and played with everything she could get her hands on.
