Lots of fishin

Joel passed his defense for his dissertation so we decided to spend the week together fishing. Our first stop was the river in Radford. Joel pretty much did the fishing while Hailey and I tried to stay out of the sun and walked on the trail.

It was a pretty hot day so we let Hailey did her toes in the water. Evidentally it was pretty cold cause she didnt care for it too much.

Ok so I slipped in a picture of her Sunday look.

Next stop, Whitetop Laurel. We had a bit of a drive but it was a nice trip and the view was pretty. We had a nice trail to walk on that followed right beside the river. Hailey's favorite part was getting to lay down on the blanket.

Off for another trip!

We headed to our favorite spot - the cascades. It's about 2 miles up and 2 miles down. We fished just about the entire way up to the falls so it took us a lot longer.

Hailey's first fish and she caught it with her eyes closed!

Mommies fish!

We finally made it to the top and were exhausted. Hailey and I hung out on the rocks near the tiny streams of water while Joel headed close to the falls and worked on some fly fishing. He caught a ton.

Hailey loved sticking her toes in the running water. She squealed a lot.

On the way down the lil punkin crashed and slept almost the entire way to the bottom. She fell asleep with her thumb in her mouth which was a first but shook her around too much trying to get out the camera.
