first fly fishing

Joel and I finally got an opportunity to go fly fishing. Joel was told of a few places that they had stocked with trout. We took the drive out past Hillsville drove around quite a bit & finally found the stream but it was just a tiny spot. The good part it was beautiful, the bad, it was full of poison ivy and poison oak. FUN! Nothing like walking through all that just to find a tiny spot to stand with no trout to catch.

We decided to head for the second spot -little snake river. What a river or not a river. We successfully drove full circle from where we started and then headed another direction & found a trail that went a long the river. It was a pretty spot but getting to it was a little challenging. Nothing but hill. Joel went first and helped me down. Once I got to the bottom I looked back up and of course noticed once again the poison ivy and poison oak uhhhh - going back up should be fun!

We finally gave up and headed home. The trip was fun but we decided we'd stick with what rivers we know.
