Hawaii Day2

ALOHA! Joel and I gave up on trying to get Hailey to go back to sleep so we just got up went downstairs got a starbucks and the best doughnut I've ever had, sat and watched Hailey welcome the early arrivers. And when I say early I mean the sun wasn't even up yet!
We decided to beat the crowd and make our way to Pearl Harbor.
We took a boat to the memorial and I noticed the strong smell of oil in the air. I didn't realize that oil was still dripping after all this time. If you stand in the right spot you can watch a drop of oil hit the water and then it forms this circle you see below. Amazing.

There were several other museums etc. to see but Hailey was not allowed which we weren 't prepared for so we didn't do it.

After we saw all that we could see we then headed for Ko'Olina lagoon. This was a hot spot for Hailey. She really liked the gentle waves, the downside - no towels. We made quite a few oops on this trip and this was one of them.

We had a beautiful view and we even got to see a turtle that mosied along as we played.

Since we still hadn't adjusted to the time change, in order to catch up we all tried to stay awake so after a super long day we decided to hit the commissary and walk around our beach just to stay awake. It worked. Hailey loved seeing all of the new sites and how many friends she could make. Let's just say she has made a ton!
